Filming Permits

Unfortunately no filming permits for the LNG terminals

Due to strict security measures, it is unfortunately not possible to issue filming permits (especially drones) for the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven and the jetty for liquefied gases in Stade until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome

Sound and Image Recordings of the Press, Radio and TV Broadcast, Film and Other Telecommunications Media

People are fascinated by ports. They provide good subjects for photographers and film-makers alike. We are always happy about the interest in our large Seaports of Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden, Stade, Wilhelmshaven, our island supply Ports of Norddeich, Norderney, Baltrum, Langeoog, Wangerooge, Bensersiel and the regional Ports of Hooksiel, Fedderwardersiel, and Großensiel.

But ports also consist of areas and facilities and other sources that pose particular dangers, such as locks, bridges, crane facilities, unsecured quays, noise and dust pollution, and the port railway system.

In order for us to harmonize your ideas of the perfect shots or recordings with our procedures and safety requirements (ISPS), we kindly ask you to coordinate your appointment with us early on. We know our ports inside and out. We would love to accompany you on your search for the right motif.

Please use our contact form, which will convey your request directly to the appropriate contact persons at NPorts. We normally process your request within a few days. For larger projects and to keep you on the safe side, we ask for a lead time of 14 days.

Permit Conditions for Sound and Image Recordings of the Press, Radio and TV Broadcast, Film and Other Telecommunications Media (Recording Permit)

Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co KG (Niedersachsen Ports) permits public and private media companies and persons acting on their behalf (users) to make audio and visual recordings within the State Ports of Niedersachsen in accordance with the media legislation in Niedersachsen and under the following permit conditions:

  1. Ports are areas and facilities with special risks (locks, bridges, cranes, unsecured quays, noise and dust pollution, storage of hazardous materials, conveyor belts and vehicles, harbor railways, etc.). Entry and use are at your own risk. Niedersachsen Ports’ liability and the liability of our staturory representatives or our vicarious agents is limited to intent and gross negligence. This does not apply to a liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health that are based on a negligent breach of duty by NPorts or our legal representative or vicarious agents;
  2. The user shall indemnify Niedersachsen Ports and keep them free from any claims and claims for damages that third parties assert arising out of the use of the port for audio and visual recordings of the press, radio and tv broadcast, film and other telecommunications media. This shall not apply insofar as these claims are based on a fault of NPorts or our statutory representatives or vicarious agents.
  3. Port operations may cause disruptions of the recording activities, for which Niedersachsen Ports will not be liable either, except in cases of their intentional or gross negligent fault. The same applies if the recording activity is prohibited by a sovereign order from a port authority.
  4. Any recordings require prior appointments. For reasons of security and order, Niedersachsen Ports may have the recording activity accompanied by their staff. Their instructions must be followed.
  5. This permit applies only to the facilities operated by Niedersachsen Ports. It is not valid for facilities (plant premises, buildings, vessels, and other vehicles, etc.) of third parties.
  6. The user(s) shall be liable for any damages to persons and facilities in the port culpably caused by them/their assistants and vicarious agents. Upon request, the user must furnish proof of adequate liability insurance.
  7. The user is obliged to observe the applicable legal requirements and the rights of third parties (in particular personal and copyrights) during the production of the audio and visual recordings of the press, radio and tv broadcast, film, and other telecommunications media and their subsequent use and dissemination.
  8. The user is obliged to follow specified requirements of NPorts’ ISPS officer or the port authority.
  9. If he violates these conditions, the filming permit is considered revoked.
  10. Special requirements for the use (personal protective clothing, equipment, health certificates, etc.) must be fully complied with. Those requirements will be communicated to the user by Niedersachsen Ports upon request.
  11. In addition, the user must abide by the General Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use of Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co KG (GTB) and the Port Usage Directives (HBV/UPR) for the respective port.
