Recognising the Signals
It is important to us to know the respective concerns in order to align our services to them in the best possible way.
As an infrastructure service provider, we ensure the successful interaction of different interest groups. We are employers, business partners, networkers and, last but not least, neighbours at the port locations. It is important to us to know the respective concerns in order to align our services to them in the best possible way.
Surveys and dialogue formats have become important instruments for us to better understand our stakeholders. Stakeholders are all those who are in the same boat as us: because we work together or because what we do affects their interests - as neighbors, customers, business partners or environmentalists. We develop an understanding for the "other side". Active dialogue helps us to identify important signals at an early stage and to be able to control success in the common interest.
Making Sustainability Our Mission
Whether in the port, in working groups or dialogue events - we are in continuous dialogue with our customers. In mid-2018 we also conducted our latest customer survey of 154 companies. The assessment of our performance was positive across the board. The constructive feedback also gave us clear impulses for development opportunities. Our customers see us primarily as a port infrastructure operator, a reliable partner in the port and a developer of port prospects. This clear vote for reliability, structure and perspectives was further sharpened by another statement: digitisation, shortage of skilled workers and sustainability are the issues that most concern our customers. The result is an impulse for us to work even more intensively with our customers on these issues. We developed our sustainability strategy in close cooperation with our stakeholders. With their views and concerns, they have all contributed to ensuring that our sustainability strategy addresses the relevant issues. Our openness and willingness to engage in dialogue are rewarded. We often hear that our partners are genuinely pleased to be involved in the process. For us, this encouragement is a sign of trust and we would like to continue to focus on good dialogue in the future. Fully in line with our mission statement: Our ports. Your future.
