Onboarding

“Moin” and Welcome to NPorts

Good to have you here! Are you a bit nervous on your first day? Then why don’t you take some time to get yourself settled. The (branch) management and your supervisors will take the time to welcome you personally.

Starting a new job is always exciting and involves a lot of changes, so it goes without saying that we will take plenty of time for you and provide you with lots of information about our company, especially in your first few days.

Arriving

Our welcome folder, our social intranet and our NPorts app will help you to arrive at NPorts. In the first few days, a tour of our company is planned. In some of our branches you will even start with a boat trip through the harbor. Here you will not only get to know your colleagues but you can also discover your future working environment from the water side.

There has to be a bit of formalism too: Among other things, you will receive initial training on your first few days.

Kick-off With Your Team

During the tour you will get to know your new colleagues and your team. You will also learn where to find important things: Your contact persons, your workplace, the break rooms and a lot more. You don’t have to remember everything at once – after all, it’s a lot. We have an NPorts-ABC where you can look things up at any time. And your team will help you anyway.

Of course, your personal induction plan will also be presented to you in this context. So you always know what the next steps are: Whom do I work with? What are my work processes like? What training do I need next? What are the next projects or tasks? Who are the contact persons?

Willkommenstage (Welcome Days)

Since we want to make sure you feel well taken care of right from the start, we make your start at NPorts as easy as possible. We place particular emphasis on our onboarding concept including our Welcome Days. On our “Azubi-Tag” (Apprentice Day), our apprentices get to know the management and all other new apprentices.

Our “Neu bei NPorts-Tag” (New at NPorts Day) is a welcoming event for all new employees. Once a year, these events take place at the headquarter. Our motto therefore is "The best way to work together is to know each other". In a diverse and interactive framework program, all our new colleagues and apprentices get the opportunity to get to know the company, our goals, services and tasks.

Feedback

After a few weeks, the first probationary period assessment takes place. Here we discuss how your first few days went, whether things are unclear or what could be done better. In other words, a first interim feedback. Because it's important to us that you get through the first few days safely and stay on board for a long time.
