Stade

Tide-Independent Port on the River Elbe

Stade is situated directly on the River Elbe, between Hamburg and Cuxhaven. Thanks to its reinforced port area, which is safe from flooding and permits tide-independent access for ocean-going vessels, the Port of Stade facilitates the handling and storage of bulk and general cargo. Onshore, a great infrastructure is available for convenient access to the Elbe-Weser region.

The port is closely integrated into the regional industrial network and has special expertise and experience in dealing with hazardous cargo and the handling of solid and liquid bulk cargo.

There are plans for a northern expansion, which will be home to a large multi-functional terminal of 24 hectares, with rail access.
